Project mission
We value leadership and volunteering as sports and athletes would struggle to reach their full potential without this. Our mission is to develop high quality, empathetic, knowledgeable leaders and coaches who can go on to inspire and motivate others to be the best they can be.
Project objectives

Create a clear pathway for leaders in the Tees Valley to achieve national level qualifications

Create opportunities for children and young people to engage in a leadership and/coaching talent pathway

Support already identified leaders to progress and increase their skills and knowledge

Raise aspirations of children and young people through embedding the values of leadership, volunteering and coaching

Support young leaders & coaches in their transition to community club sports coaching
Why be a Leader, Volunteer or Coach?
Being a leader or coach is more than a qualification. It's about making a difference to others, giving something back to a community, sport that has given to you. Sports leaders inspire others because they demonstrate attitude and values that receive respect. Effective leaders have qualities, such as responsibility, work ethic and attitude and lead by example. Most of all demonstrate the same qualities they expect from their team members.

By leading, volunteering and coaching you will develop life skills that will help you on your way to employment. Whether that be in sport or in other disciplines, the skills inherent in the Amplify Pathway are skills and knowledge that will be with you for life.

We have partnered with all of the School Sports Partnerships and School Games Organisers in Tees Valley to bring you a Leadership pathway that is progressive and offers valuable opportunities to get hands on and learn by doing.

Our pathway links young people to a clear ladder of courses and opportunities with a clear focus on skills at each level. We have shaped the pathway so that young people develop skills and behaviours in order to the best leaders, coaches and volunteers they can be.
